I have been attending Positively Playful classes with Sarah ever since we acquired our rescue collie, Trixie 3 years ago - a dog described by the rehoming centre as having "issues".
Sarah's methods ensure that the sessions are fun and help improve communication and trust between the dog and handler - we achieved the Kennel Club "Gold" award last year and still attend as we continue to get so much from the sessions.
Unlike most other dog training sessions, the group sizes are small which allows each individual dog and handler to receive the time and attention they need in order to progress - and the fact that the venue is warm and dry helps everyone focus!
I would not hesitate to recommend Sarah as a trainer - no matter what your level of knowledge or experience is - she adapts each exercise and session to suit the individual and there is no pressure to be "perfect" - half of the fun is sharing a laugh when we get it wrong! (Usually the handlers fault rather than the dogs!)

I have worked through my Kennel Club Good Citizens awards with Sarah up to and including Gold Award , the methods she uses are great all play based and letting the dog make the right choices I have a working cocker spaniel who pulled your arms out of the sockets and now she walks like an angel all through Sarahs training also had a couple of 1:2:1 with a younger dog working on recall again using games and this is starting to make a difference cant recommend enough .

Sally & Theo - Tarporley
Dear Sarah
I am writing to thank you for all the help you have given me with my Goldador – Theo – 18 Months.
We have had Theo from a puppy at 8 weeks, and went through many trainers before finding Sarah @ Positively Playful.
Theo was very nervous around other dogs, people and unexpected events, displaying aggressive behaviour towards all.
Working with Sarah in class and on only two sessions of 1:1 training, Sarah has taught me to cope with all these situations by teaching me & Theo that by playing games to distract him, he is more focused on me that anything else.
I am having so much fun, with all these techniques that Sarah has taught us, be in practicing in the garden or whilst out walking. Theo and I have really bonded and he has learnt to put his trust in me.
Thank you Sarah for helping us, when other trainers and methods were not working.
